Metropolis Super Family

I have finally completed my Powergirl artwork in vibrant colour! In addition to Powergirl, I included iconic characters Superman and Supergirl to enhance the composition.

For Superman's uniform, I drew inspiration from the upcoming James Gunn movie, set to release in 2025, while also nodding to the classic style featured in Man of Steel. For Supergirl, I incorporated elements from her costume in the Flash movie but kept her distinctive family crest to honour her heritage.

The entire painting took approximately 47 hours to complete. I began by sketching the characters in dynamic poses and creating a backdrop of Metropolis. The colour palette I chose is reminiscent of the Golden Age of comics, embracing the nostalgic feel that many fans appreciate. I included various comic book artefacts to add depth and character to the piece, completing the homage to the superhero genre.
