Ryu - Hadouken

Digital painting of Ryu from the Street Fighter series. This was completed in time to celebrate his fictional date of birth. Ryu is 60 on 21st July 2024.

I started the drawing in 2012, but it was left in a scribble sketch form of him in the Dojo. It was just a black-and-white scribble. I recently decided to finish painting using Photoshop since I have time.

It took 50 hours to complete. Shapes and forms were blocked, textures were added, and lighting and special effects were added to evoke the power of the Hadouken.
