Princess Ciri

For this project, I wanted to do some fan art for Witcher 3 the Wild Hunt. I drew Ciri as she appears in the game and used multiple reference images and expression of female characters and cloth deformations so I can try to get it right.

The sketch took around 5 hours to complete from rough blocking to shading and outlining.

The Black and white detailed painting took much longer - around 25+ hours using multiple brushes, textures, highlights and shades. My preferred method is always black and white (or greyscale). Then I will add colour and background to the scene.

Colour version took around 20 hours to complete with applying luminance the materials would have with texture, noise and tone. The background is being painted separately.

The completed Artwork took a further 20 hours or so to complete to put the lighting effects and Witcher title graphics in a metallic pewter effect.
